IN BAD WEATHER, GOOD ROUTINE
Don't let the rainy days stop you, these cloudy, rainy days put anyone in a bad mood and a good way to counteract this is with a bit of exercise.
It has been proven that physical exercise improves mental health, so by doing small doses of exercise we can improve our mood on a bad day. When we exercise our body releases endorphins and serotonin.
But what is this?
Serotonin is a neurotransmitter (uses nerves to send messages to each other) found in the central nervous system and serves to regulate mood, sleep and appetite. Stress, for example, can lower serotonin, so exercise can alleviate some of this problem.
Exercise also releases endorphins, known as happiness hormones, which help our body to feel calm or happy. It is a good solution for controlling states of anxiety and increasing a sense of well-being.
