7 habits for a happier life
What is the secret of a happy life? That is the question many of us ask ourselves and to which we have no concrete answer.
There is no secret or magic formula, but there are daily habits that can really help us feel good about ourselves and make a big positive change in our lives.
Today we want to share with you 7 habits that will help you feel better in your day to day life!
- The alarm at the same time!
Set your alarm for the same time every day. Get up as soon as it goes off, listen to a podcast or go outside, there is no better way to start the day than breathing fresh air, moving your body and energy.
- Hydrate yourself!
Fill up your water bottle first thing in the morning and get into the habit of drinking throughout the day - we tend to forget to hydrate. Set alarms on your phone so you don't forget.
Feeling hydrated brings many benefits.
- Laugh!
Spend some time with your favourite programme, enter Tik Tok (be careful, it can be addictive). 😂
But dedicate a minimum of time to what makes you laugh every day. Laughter is the best therapy without a doubt, it fills us with energy and makes us feel better.
- Talk to your friends
Sometimes it's hard to find time to chat with your friends or family, but don't give up. Make it a habit, whether it's a 30-minute phone call, a voice note or even a Whatsapp message, take a moment to "just say hello".
- Write down your achievements and give them the importance they deserve!
End the day by writing down one thing you are proud of and grateful for.
Writing these things down can help us keep our feet on the ground, but it also reminds us of how much we are achieving, even on days when we feel otherwise.
- Do something for yourself
We spend a lot of our time doing things for others, or because we have to. So spend at least an hour a day doing something for yourself: reading a book, going to the gym or going out for a coffee. It will take some getting used to, but if you put yourself and your needs first, you will be in a better position to help others when they need it.
- And last but not least, don't forget to sleep!
Remember the importance of sleep, you know what you need to feel your best. Set up your own sanctuary, dim lighting, good ventilation, a candle. Turn off your technological devices for a while before going to bed and... get some rest!
