CORPORATE WELLNESS: HOW TO CREATE YOUR SELF-CARE TIME
In today's post we will talk about how to create and maintain effective self-care time, a fundamental aspect of corporate wellness. We often find ourselves saturated with our daily responsibilities and forget the importance of taking care of ourselves. Taking time to take care of ourselves will not only improve our health and well-being, but will also help us to be more productive and happier in our daily lives. That's why today we present 3 simple guidelines for you to incorporate self-care into your daily routine and make sure you create the time you need to take care of yourself.
CORPORATE WELLNESS: 3 SIMPLE GUIDELINES FOR CREATING YOUR PERSONAL CARE TIME
1. BE REALISTIC
The first aspect that we have to take care of when it comes to satisfy any need is to be realistic.
What we want will never happen simply because we want it. We have to make it happen.
In the same way, in the case of our practice, to think that simply informing that we are going to do our practice and that they see us doing it, will be enough for them to respect us, is a chimera and, in a certain way, we are "making ourselves and those who accompany us fail".
2. BE HONEST AND SPECIFIC
The second key that will bring us closer to our success is to be honest with ourselves and as specific as we can with our own.
What do we want our practice time to be like:
- Do we want it to be a time of individual care for ourselves?
- Do we want it to be a shared time, where our own are involved and participate?
What exactly do we need:
- A space reserved for our practice?
- Use the common space?
- Monopolize the TV or computer for a while?
- Silence?
- Someone to take care of emergent tasks?
Finally, how much practice time do we need?
3. BE FIRM
The third step, and please pay close attention to this, because it is fundamental, is - once you have agreed on when and where your practice is going to take place - BLIND that time and make it UNNEGOTIABLE.
Unless there is a real urgency, do not make this time flexible. If you don't make it happen, believe me, it won't happen.
Really, don't underestimate this point because it is the most important: after all, if you don't really value your care and take this time seriously, why should others?
